Bio: I have over 16 years’ experience in data and people management within a global fintech company.

I left the UK in 2022 to explore a new life abroad, where I now have my own data consulting business, doing what I love doing and what I do best, working with data.

Skills: I’m a great communicator and have the confidence and ability to break down complex tasks. Whether it be for my own factfinding to understand how best to undertake a task or to explain complex concepts to customers. 

On a technical level, I’m proficient in data modelling, many of the main databases offerings in the market as well as the much loved Excel.

Interests: Gadgets, from a very early age I was given the nickname, Inspector Gadget.

Travelling.  Photography.  Food.  (Baking, Preserving, Making Beer, Eating out). 

I love languages and etymology.

Fluent in Castillano, Gallego and currently learning French and Italian.

Bio: I have worked in Financial Services for 24 years in both networks and DA support and latterly in the software support side.  I started Best Bee in 2021 as I wanted to build a support which could help smaller firms to develop their use of software in the most efficient way possible. 

Skills: Working predominately with intelliflo, Plannr and Centology to help mould the systems to support firms and gain as much efficiency as possible but also working with firms to review and build business processes

Interests: Medieval history, following Liverpool FC, listening to rock music and running.  Not all at the same time

Bio: I have been in the Financial Services Industry for 34 years.  Starting as an office junior and learning all aspects of financial services.  I undertook my financial planning exams and qualified as an IFA, however realised my passion were more on the back office side of things and technology.  I started my business in 2019 and have been assisting clients in the Financial Services Industry ever since.

Skills: Predominately work with Intelliflo and focus on Document Designer, designing letters, templates and reports, Income Reconciliation and Administration

Interests:  I love walking my dogs and going to the gym.

Interests: Outside of his work with Lagom Consulting, Jonathan is a keen photographer. He has been published in magazines and books and sells some of his work at wall art.

Fun Fact: Jonathan studied music at university with the ambition of opening an independent record label. He also prides himself on having a very wide general knowledge and has been referred to as a ‘secret weapon’ during pub quizzes.

Bio: I’m Karl Dines. I’ve been in Financial Services since I was a kid in the 90’s, when things were a bit more ‘wild west’ shall we say. I started off with a major product provider, working with IFA firms in the days of commission, with profit bonds, Section 32’s SIPPS and SSAS schemes.

I have a leaning towards compliance and was fascinated when RDR was published came out, a whole new world began to emerge. So after a few other life offices and promotions I joined a major compliance provider. That was over 10 years and hundreds of consultancy sessions ago. 

Open Door Policy is built on lots of experience in consultancy and geekiness. 

Skills: Interpretation of Regulator guidance. Simplifying regulation. Constructing and documenting IRP, charging structures and the Consumer Duty. Project management.

Projects: Open Door Policy has experience in building CIRPs, charging structures and the Consumer Duty with hundreds of firms, from sole traders and small practices to large nationals.

Interests: We have three cats and 13 guitars. There’s Mojo the mad tabby who opens bedroom doors at 4.00 in the morning and two black and white brothers, Ronnie and Reggie. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 13, it’s one of those obsessions you can’t get rid of and if you work with Open Door Policy you’ll see a forever rotating guitar selection of Firebirds, Les Pauls, Stratocasters, Jazzmasters, SGs, Teles and anything else I can get past Wendy, my wife, without a rolling of the eyes.

Bio: Lee is a senior change management professional within Finance, offering a high quality, professional service with a unique and broad knowledge base, built up over 20+ years. Having worked across multiple financial sectors, products and departments, both buy and sell side, Lee is able to develop efficient and effective solutions to change and integration issues. Lee has worked with a number of C-Level clients over the last 15 years aiding strategy development, process and technology implementations, managing multiple company integrations, involving billions of AUM and managing operational and delivery teams.

Lee currently holds the Prince2 Practitioner and 6sigma Green Belt certificates, plus a qualification in Operational Risk.

Interests: Keen cricketer and runner, nowadays its more to stay fit, although I still like to compete! I also help with the running of a cricket club, former Chairman, now Treasurer and committee member. Spending time with my friends and family is key. I enjoy a variety of music and can often be found at music events (smaller rather than large concerts).

Bio: I have a strong focus on helping organisations deliver exceptional client service with maximum business efficiency. Extensive experience of dealing with Stakeholders at all levels and a wide-ranging knowledge on operational and strategic practices. 

Skills:  Specialisms in business processes, use of back office/CRM software, data migration, implementation of CRM software and all aspects of income management and reconciliation.

Projects: NextGen presentations / buy out of Jacana clients. 

Interests: When time permits, I like to keep fit, get my nails and hair done, visit our family-owned caravan in Wales. 

My career plays a huge part of my life, so it’s important to me to have an awareness of my own wellbeing and these things certainly help with that.
